Commercialization of Microfluidics Devices and Systems

The workshop will provide an overview of key aspects in commercialization of microfluidic technologies.

We will discuss the (i) discovery and identification of key features of the invention; (ii) conceptualization of the product or service; (iii) gauging the value; (iv) assessing the competitive edge; (v) protecting and navigating the intellectual property; (vi) regulatory aspects of access to the market; (vii) manufacturability at acceptable cost; (viii) business model and requirements for development stemming from the way of use; (ix) quality management system; (x) key phases of product development; (xi) early access & market entry; (xii) team building.

We expect to have the session highly interactive with ample room for Q&A and discussion of select examples and specific challenges pointed out by the participants.
