Authors » New For 2023

In an effort to encourage authors' best work and allow authors to freely publish their work in scientific journals, the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society (CBMS) has decided that they will not be collecting copyright for presented work nor publishing a technical digest going forward. Thus, work presented at MicroTAS will not be indexed.

For authors, this means that at the time of submission, we will still be asking for a 2-page abstract, but also a 500 character short paragraph and table of contents figure. The 2-page abstract will be used for review purposes only, will remain confidential, and not be made public in the future. The 500 character short paragraph and table of contents figure will be available for attendees via the conference app. **PLEASE BE AWARE that submitters will have the ability to upload the 3 elements 500 character short abstract, 2-page PDF and JPG) on the Upload page.

The novelty criterion is as such: submission of papers that have not been placed in the public domain by the author more than 1 year (1 October 2022) before the submission date, with proper reference, will be reviewed and acceptance considered by the technical program committees. Publication of a paper or significant portion of the work elsewhere more than one year (12 months) before the submission date or without proper reference will yield withdrawal from presentation at the Conference by the Conference Chairs.

Please visit the Submission Guidelines page for information regarding the required files.
